About Us

In late 2024 my wife and I hosted a "Friendsgivingmas" (Thanksgiving and Christmas) celebration for our friends. Here, we made a small stocking stuffer that would change everything. These small and very rough looking dice holders stole the hearts of our friends. They suggested I tried to sell these, and to my surprise, that was a really good idea.

I sought out the original designer of these models, FMD. These files were messy, unscaled properly, unsafe to hold dice (dice kept falling out), and the look wasn't complete. Unhappy, I set out (with permission to change and sell) to change and redesign the whole thing. Changes from the way it looks, to its functionality were completely needed for a buildable and usable 3d file. I scaled the models to the correct size, created a mechanical way to attach the sheath pieces together, and cleaned up the look. Not to mention the most important part, the secure locking mechanism.

A problem I found online with dice holders is that they don't live up to their name. What is a dice holder doing if not to hold your dice? A way to secure a person's dice in the dice holder wasn't only wanted, but necessary. After a few iterations, we settled on a sliding clip mechanism. Here, a clip would slide into the back of the dice holder blade to secure the sheath in place. A simple, but perfect design for something like this.

Now onto selling...

My wife and I build up some product to sell at the Midland Comic Con in the spring of 2025. Our friends were kind enough to share a section of their booth. She made some custom designed keychains out of ShinkyDink and stickers to sell too! To our surprise, the weekend went very well. We sold out of all our dice holders and nearly everything else we had to bring. Last minute product was made to keep up with high demand late at night, but even those were sold on the final days!

With great success, we were able to build further and further into what we have today. Our online store isn't the only way to find us. We travel and vender at booths all across Michigan. Anything from Comic Cons, to craft festivals, to Renaissance Fairs.

Thank you for listening!
